The Buddha's Light Youth Symphony Orchestra (BLYSO) was founded in 1993 at Hsi Lai Temple. It is a unique musical group that consists of young musicians from different ethnic groups. The goal of the symphony is to let people find their inner peace through its unique works that combine the beauty of Buddhist music and western Classics.

BLYSO is recruiting new members, especially percussion, woodwinds, brass, and strings. The orchestra offers students between ages 10and 25 an opportunity to enhance their musical experience by participating in weekly rehearsals, music festival, and bi-annual concerts, under the direction of an outstanding conductor.
