Living Awake: Six Practices for Everyday Life

Many of us spend our days rushing from one task to another, worrying about the future, replaying the past, or getting lost in screens and endless distractions.

This six-session experiential workshop explores how Buddhist wisdom can help us live with greater presence, clarity, and purpose in everyday life. Through meditation, discussion, hands-on mindfulness activities, and supportive group sharing, participants will learn practical tools for navigating life's challenges with greater calm, compassion, and wisdom.

No prior experience with Buddhism or meditation is required.

Session 1: Generosity & Connection
Moving from "Me" to "We"


Discover how generosity creates happiness, strengthens relationships, and helps us feel more connected to others. Explore ways of giving that go beyond money and learn how small acts of kindness can transform daily life.

Session 2: Integrity & Values
Living in Alignment

What truly matters to you? Learn how our choices shape our peace of mind and explore how living according to our values can reduce stress and create a more meaningful life.

Session 3: Patience & Emotional Resilience
Responding Instead of Reacting

Life is full of difficult people, frustrations, and unmet expectations. Learn practical Buddhist tools for working with anger, impatience, and stress while cultivating greater emotional balance.

Session 4: Right Effort
Growing the Good


How do we create lasting positive change in our lives? Drawing on the Buddha's teaching of the Four Right Efforts, this session explores how to prevent and let go of harmful habits while cultivating and strengthening beneficial qualities. Through mindful gardening, reflection, and discussion, participants will discover practical ways to nurture greater kindness, resilience, and well-being in daily life.

Reclaiming Your Attention

In a world of constant notifications and distractions, attention has become one of our most valuable resources. Learn how to strengthen concentration and experience the freedom of being fully present.

Session 6: Wisdom & Clear Seeing
Understanding Life More Deeply

Explore Buddhist insights on impermanence, attachment, and interconnection. Learn how wisdom can help us navigate change, uncertainty, and life's challenges with greater clarity and compassion.
